The high-end address launched by star chef Sergio Herman attracts crowds just a stone’s throw from Saint Catherine Square and our rezidentz appartments. Here, fries are treated like a local treasure and prepared with a Zeeland potato, salted with samphire salt and unusual toppings such as nori seaweed, truffles or even basil and parmesan. A beautiful reinterpretation of the classic French fry, for which there is a long queue.

Close to the Place du Châtelain, rue de l’Aqueduc, this French fry shop has become a meeting place for the bobos, especially on Wednesday nights, market day. Opened in 2019 by a chef passionate about Belgian culinary heritage, the address defines itself as an artisanal French fry shop. Here, the fresh fries are organic, local, peeled and prepared on site, and above all cooked in the traditional way and the potatoes are delivered every day by a Belgian farmer.

Located near La Bourse, Fritland’s fritkot has been busy since 1978. At Fritland, the potatoes are cooked twice in 100% beef fat, in two different tanks at different temperatures. For the final touch, they are salted and ready to be eaten in a cone, with or without sauce. In addition to the fries, the mitraillette is Fritland’s other specialty.
